Wow. I guess this is starting to be a yearly thing. I just read my last journal update, and if I even thought I'd matured in the time between my last three journal updates, I sure as hell have come even farther.

Firstly, I finally know my ship date for Basic Military training in the Air Force. And in case you're curious, it's April 16th.
If any of you are interested in corresponding with me during that time, you can leave a comment here or send me a note and I'll add to to my list of people to give the address to once I get it. Just so you know, I may not be able to respond right away, or even at all. And please, make sure you remind me who you are if you do indeed decide to write me. I simply have no head for names anymore and so many of you have changed your names since I last seriously logged in, it's hard to remember who everyone is.

I've done some arty things while I was away, and I do plan on posting most of it if time permits. As I said in my last update, tumblr is a huge part of my life as of now simply because I've been put on a very high calorie diet that involves almost no exercise. Anyway, I've already posted some of the aforementioned arts on tumblr as a matter of convenience, and simply because the categories on here have frustrated me ever since some nincompoop came along and declared all of my Disney vacation photos as Scraps, rather as Snapshots. Whatever. So one could say I ragequited dA for a while, I'll admit it.

Even more than before, more than ever, music is a huge part of my life now. I've started to record myself singing and upload it to my SoundCloud (just covers as of now, I have no head for songwriting), and even though I personally think I sound terrible, a few of my tumblr family have told me I sound okay. (well, they actually said I have a pretty voice, but I'm trying to go for modesty, here)

My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy have wormed their way into my music tastes, (once again, another band thing for me to obsess over) and they've actually had a positive affect on my life, just as EDM was this time last year. Again, I seem to metamorphosed completely once again, to the point where I refused to believe that I was ever the little lost girl who clung to sanity with wubwubs and bass drops after a bad breakup. Now I've learned it's okay to be single, and there's nothing wrong with being as weird as society can deal with (and then some).

My energy drink addiction still exists, although my parents and friends keep me on a 4 or 5 can a restriction. Turns out caffeine makes you lose weight if you have too much of it. Who knew? As per my Air Force recruiter's suggestion, I've started drinking Vitamin D (or whole) milk almost exclusively. Therefore I get my own gallon of milk now.

If you're still reading this, I commend you. You must either be very bored or genuinely interested in what's been going on in my life within the past year.

As a side note, I can now say I've visited another country and actually made use of my passport. I went to visit Canada after I went to the North American International Auto Show with my family on January 22nd. It was quite fun, and a slight departure from the city just across the river. Even the graffiti was beautiful and encouraging. If you ask my sister (dream-shadow) she'd probably wax melodic about it until you were sure she visited Narnia.

Errr... I think that's all I need to talk about? I'm not entirely sure. Oh! I have a new tumblr now for my personal blogging, the other one in previous entries is no longer active. Which means I don't use it as often. Like. At all.

Hey, bros. Just letting you all know that I'm not dead, I've just been really busy and frankly didn't feel like going on DA much. But here's me, still here.
Anyway, I've mostly migrated to tumblr, so if y'all wanna keep in touch, thechickwithaname.tumblr.com/ is where I'm at pretty much every day.
My new fandoms are The Avengers, pretty much anything Marvel, and some DC Comics stuff. I'm pretty heavy into Bioshock and Portal now, too. And STEAMPUNK. Lots and lots of it. So. My newer fanfiction worth reading is on that tumblr page, and the rest of it is here. -> www.fanfiction.net/~ravenstark

Wow, you guys. I know, I've been gone for a long time. How many of you actually noticed? Just posting to let you all know I'm not dead. Anyway, I've been grounded, and I've grown up a little since we last had a chat. I've joined the Air Force. I'm nineteen now. I've been taking care of my grandmother for the past two weeks because of her knee surgery, and I've just now worked up the gumption to get my ass back on here. I've sort of moved on with my fandoms. Naruto and Assassin's Creed are in the back of my mind, and they've been temporarily replaced by EDM pairings and Left For Dead. I'm not a kid anymore, you guys. DeviantART is no longer my life. I have to start growing up and acting my age. Anyway. I made a personal blog (finally) on tumblr, different than my Itachi one. If you're interested, you can follow me here -> thechickwithaname.tumblr.com/ and get a better idea of who I actually am. I'll still post things here from time to time when I get the chance.

Like yesterday, (or was it the day before? Thedayskeeprunningtogether.) I posted two skrillmau5 stories. I dunno if any of you actually know waht that is, but for those of you who don't, that's deadmau5/Skrillex. It's a fun pairing to write, and it's refreshing to write about real people for a change. I've been harboring a love for this pairing for a while.

But understand that I'll be less active on here than I used to be. I know this journal is less than coherent because I'm running on little sleep, caffeine, and Skrillex.

So, to break it down for all of you who are looking at this, saying, "Uh, Megs? tl;dr, hon..." Here's a quick breakdown.

Naruto and Assassin's Creed= temporarily out, but not forgotten
EDM and Left 4 Dead= current obsession
Joined the Air Force.
Turned 19.
Grounded for a long-ass time.
Still writing.
Still taking pictures, and owe you guys all my Auto Show photos.
And I still love all of you. You're like the other half of my family. The half that sucks a lot less often than my real one.

So. I think that's it. I haven't slept in my own bed in two weeks, and I miss all of my friends.

So for all of you that will actually read this: I love you guys. I hope you didn't forget about me.
